We offer you simple NRI banking like, NRI ACCOUTS, FIX DIPOSITS, You can make additions to your deposit in multiples of Rs 5,000 each. Reinvestment deposits must be invested for a minimum period of 6 months.

Non Resident External (NRE) (RUPEE) Savings Account

A deposit plan that enables opening an account through instruments such as Demand Drafts, Telegraphic Transfers, Telex, Mail Transfers etc. and which also provides standard banking facilities such as cheque book, provision for nomination and other remittance facilities.

The entire funds (principal with interest) can be repatriated.

Terms & Conditions

NRI's can open this account by Inward remittances in any convertible currency from abroad through normal banking channels by way of:

  • Demand drafts
  • Transfer from any non-resident (External) Rupee Savings & Fixed Deposit account or Foreign Currency Deposit (FCNR), Local Rupee Cheques (drawn in India) etc. However cash in Rupees cannot be deposited in this account.

  • During their personal visit NRI's can tender cash in foreign currency & foreign currency travellers cheques which can be converted into Indian Rupees for crediting their account.
  • Interest is payable half yearly .
Non Resident External (NRE) (RUPEE) Current Account

This account can be opened by NRI's by way of remittance from abroad. These accounts are useful for business transactions for Individuals and Institutions.
(Overseas Corporate Bodies (OCB) cannot have FCNR (B) Deposits effective from 16.09.2003).

Confidentiality of accounts, automatic renewal of deposits and the option of payment of proceeds in the currency of your own choice are other highlights of this deposit plan.

  • Personal cheque in foreign currency drawn on your Bank in Abroad.
  • Foreign Currency /Travellers cheques (during their personal visit) as well as transfer from any non-resident (External) Rupee Savings & Fixed Deposit account or Foreign Currency Non Resident deposit.

  • Deposits can be placed for period ranging from 6 months to 36 months.

  • Repatriation of these deposits and interest are freely allowed in Foreign Currency (USD, GBP &. EURO) at a place of your choice.

  • Interest is paid/credited (in case of cumulative deposit) every Quarter (i.e. March, June, September & December).

 

    NRE Deposits are accepted at certain designated branches only viz. Usmanpura, S.M.Road, Ashram Road, Panchvati, Swastik Char Rasta, Anand, Maninagar and Vadodara.
